TTM Failure: Stan Musial

Back in 2009 I sent a ttm request to Stan Musial and recieved a signed postcard from him. You can see it here. I noticed that he changed the postcard that he is sending out now, and I liked the new one much better than the one I already had so I sent another request. It was a fairly quick return and I got the new postcard, but it wasn't signed. I might try again to see what happens.

  1. I happen to have both the old signed postcard and the unsigned postcard as well, from a few requests I've sent to Musial in the past. I don't think he's signed any of the one you just posted, from what I've seen. Could be wrong though

  2. Stan is 91 years old now and he has to be pushed around in a wheelchair. If you've seen any of his recent signatures, they're getting very shaky. He probably ran out of the stock pile of signed postcards that he had and decided to go with the facsimile auto on the post cards. I'm guessing, but it makes sense...and I wouldn't blame him if that was the case.

  3. My single most prized card in my collection is a 2011 Heritage signed card by him. The thrill of pulling it out of some random pack I picked up at Target was unforgettable. The surname is a little shaky, but the "Stan" is very clear, and it's on the white of his uniform. Great looking card.
